In April, the South Cobb Rotary Club hosted its annual Public Safety Appreciation Day at the Cobb Police Training Center in Austell. The event celebrates the contributions of Cobb Police, Cobb Fire, Puckett EMS, Cobb 911, Cobb Sheriff, Austel Fire and Austell Police. The ceremony included speeches, award presentations notations and lunch. A highlight was the presentation of a $1,000 grant to Israa Winston of the Cobb Police Department, in recognition of her service and dedication.
Club President Pamela Kramer noted, ”Today, we honor the heroes who keep our community safe. Their dedication and bravery are truly commendable, and we are grateful for their service.
In May, the club hosted its 44th Annual Golf Tournament in Austell, GA - an event that celebrates community partnership and collaboration - and provides funding for a wide range of programs that have a lasting impact on the community.This event has long been the club’s most impactful fundraising event.
